When making memories becomes priority

After our trip to Legoland, we decided not to take anything for granted and made it a point to do any and everything we could for these kiddos! We got offered photo sessions, trips, and places to see so Kiel could really enjoy every possible minute. The community rallied together and helped us arrange so many things for these kids to ensure they would have lots of great memories! They arranged fundraisers and made contacts and went out of their way to ensure we could make it happen, and so we could focus on care while they focused on spoiling them!
We got to go on a secret trip (next post), a trip to watch the Jets and Giants play, Phillies Game, Pittsburgh Pirates game, Washington DC for a tour of the White House. We made so many memories it was amazing! I know that none of it would have been possible without the community and love from our family and friends!
The worst thing in the world happened to us all and with Kiel leading the way we made the best of a bad situation every single day. This boy was the strongest and bravest little boy I ever met! He knew he was sick, he knew it wasn't good, but this boy was always smiling and always optimistic!
Make those memories because someday, they will be all that you have!
Huge thank you to all our family and friends and the wonderful organizations that made it all possible!
